Stocking Fillers

Now that it's the holidays, we can all take a break from our school uniforms and suits, which is always an exciting thing. (Who wears ties that aren't bow ties anyway?) Another exciting thing is Christmas of course! So obviously, I have already made my Christmas List, but we can't forget about the stocking! This is what I am hoping to get in my stocking this year, but of course, who isn't? The Mulberry Bayswater Keyring. Comes in four colours: Electric Blue, Silver, Hot Pink and Pale Gold, but remember what you've been told children- Always go for the Gold. £90, quite heavy, but I wouldn't mind having it dangling from my satchel.

SPOT THE ALEXA

River Island, Peacocks, Next and even Primark now all have their own versions of the Alexa! They are all nice bags but it's just not the same- They're not Mulberry!

CAUGHT ON CAMERA- Beyond Retro.

Look what we found.. A well dressed person in London (standard).

Where?: Beyond Retro

What was she wearing?: A cute floral dress with grey ankle socks and brown combat boots.

Why did it work so well?: The cute dress looked awesome with the effortless little grey socks whilst the combats gave it just enough edge to make the outfit look perfect.

Therefore, I am planning on posting a picture of the clothes I am wearing, whether I am wearing pyjamas or a pair of Nike Air tracky bums (actually that's not even possible because I don't actually own a pair of tracksuit bottoms. Wow?) carrying on, I am planning on posting a picture of what i'm wearing on here, for you to see, every day for the next fifteen days. Enjoy!

Heya! Sorry I havent been on for a while, I've been studying and being clever at school and stuff. By the way, just to warn you, if you have a history of maybe being slightly suicidal at some point in your life, go to the top left corner of your browser, there should be and arrow facing left. Click it. Bye. Kay right. I am going to boast to you now. . .
Guess what I bought yesterday? Figured it out yet? Actually I'll just tell you!
I
BOUGHT
A

London, let's hula!

Well, i'm going to have a little moan. London, I know you love me and all but y'know, just stop copying me. Don't you hate it when you're stood there in front of your mirror and you're thinking to yourself 'Hmm, this outfit looks awesome!' and then the next day you see the almost exact same outfit in Grazia the next day? Well this is how I feel all the time. I've got my thirteenth birthday coming up and yes, in having a party. After a week of lame suggestions for the theme, I finally come up with a really good one! Hawaii!! The next week, I open a magazine at a random page and yes. There it was. An article about how the theme of Hawaii just happens to be a very good style of clothing right now. Of course, I decided to let go of the fact that someone else has been taking credit for my ideas but the next week, i go to Topshop to buy my dress. As usual I ended up buying three dresses and came to the conclusion that the one I liked the most I would keep and wear. The others I would take back. I finally decided on a beautiful dress with palm trees on. That same day I bought that months issue of VOGUE. I turn the page and hello! There it was, just lying there in a bed of it's orangeness, just laughing at me. I mean, of course, I'm happy that the dress i chose is in VOGUE magazine but London, enough is enough. And yes, i have checked my bedroom for hidden cameras. Even though there were none, you still somehow know what I'm wearing. (also, feel free to ignore the above text, keep copying me. As long as no-one looks better than me, by all means, just carry on.)

Subtle Ruffles.

A pretty vest and a high-waisted skirt . . . Eughh! How boring! WE NEED SOME DETAIL HERE!! Okay, not sure I want to go out looking like Lady Gaga, but a few ruffles will do!! I know what you're thinking- 'Isn't it always better to be extravagant and different?' The answer is: Yes, it is good to be different but sometimes, people can get bored of that. Subtle is good. Ever heard the expression: Less is More? As you can see, (above) some of these pieces of clothing don't have as subtle ruffles as I'm making it sound like they should have, but what I want you to do is imagine these clothes without ruffles on them. You don't even have to say what your thinking. PLAIN, SIMPLE, BORING. Now, I want you to take these ruffles, and enlarge them ten times. This is what you could call NON-subtle. Ruffles: Summery, Pretty, Feminine and Lovely.

Matt = Heath?

As you already know, Matt Smith and Heath Ledger are both on my 'WANTED' List. (To be honest, what's not to want?) I was watching Doctor Who earlier this evening, as you do, and I was thinking 'Gosh, he's so hot!' and then i thought . . . 'Hmm, he looks like someone hot!' Then, it came to me. HEATH!! THEY LOOK SO ALIKE!!! And yes, this post has nothing to do with this entire blog, but it has to be said.

The Mulberry Alexa Clutch

On my previous post, I mentioned the Mulberry Alexa, after writing about this, I decided I would take a gander at the Mulberry Online Store. Little did I know that this would be a huge mistake. Mulberry have just released a new clutch, the Alexa Clutch. Did I just spend two minutes gazing into her shiny gold padlocks? Yes. I think I am head over heels in love with her!! I will try and erase her from my mind, however impossible it may be. I blame Mulberry for making peoples lives a misery. Although, as soon as I purchase my first (and trust me it will NOT be my last) Mulberry purse, clutch, or satchel, I will no longer think of Mulberry as a life ruiner, but until then . . . Sniff, sniff.

Secret Pointless Obsessions.

Every single one of us has a Secret Pointless Obsession, and what makes it pointless is that we know that we can never have it or we can't afford it, like my sister for example: The Mulberry Alexa. Yes, she can afford it, but she'd have to use up her entire student loan to buy it and just live off Cheese and Crackers, but to be honest, hers isn't really a Secret Pointless Obsession, its just an obsession. It's not Secret or Pointless in any way whatsoever. It's perfectly reasonable and the world know that she wants the Alexa, but to be fair, she is only human, and it is pretty much Heaven squeezed into 23x33x17cm. A Sectret Pointless Obsession is something you think about more than three times a day but you don't really tell anyone about it because it's just so pointless, like me and Sienna Miller's tattoo. Sometimes you just want to cry because you can't have it but hey, life goes on . . . for some! WANTED: Sienna Millers tattoo. WANTED: A £35 bag from Topshop that I just recently realised I have fallen in love with. WANTED: Valentino Smoke Effect shoes. WANTED: Beyonce's body. WANTED: A Ukulele. WANTED: Heath Ledger. WANTED: The new Doctor. WANTED: A Chanel bike.

Clogs . . .

Don't lie, you love them, you always have done, but you've also always thought: "How can I wear them without looking like I just spent half an hour in a workshop sticking a wooden block to my foot?" Well, if you have the courage to dislike one single thing in Alexa Chungs wardrobe, then go ahead, hate them! I wish I could, but if Alexa can wear them on the front cover of VOGUE, then I can certainly add a pair of them to my 'Wanted List'.(Hers are Chanel . . . but I can still dream?)

Brogues.

As we all know, Brogues are traditionally worn by men to formal occasions. Now, we all know that Brogues are now nothing but a pair of beautiful, beautiful shoes! Why do we love them? Well, first of all, they are beautiful. Secondly, they are very comfy. Thirdly, they look amazing with everything, and lastly, they've got an amazingly sophisticated vintage/ retro twist to them. Question Answered. Brogues. YES!

Underwear as Outerwear

Is there any way to wear lace, satin and silk as outerwear without looking like we just forgot to put some clothes on? Turns out, Topshop, H&M and Urban Outfitters think we can! Sexy, sleek and chic . . .
